WHY WE STARTED
MARIATU KARGBO'S STORY
Left Sierra Leone as a child
Built a successful life in the US, earning degrees in nursing, family practice, marketing, and law.
Returned to Freetown in 2024
Witnessed extreme poverty: children carrying heavy loads, scarce clean water, and inadequate schools.
Witnessed the healthcare crisis firsthand
Hospital facilities in dire states, with a morgue visible at the entrance.
Her parents travel to the US every six months
For essential healthcare due to the lack of adequate services in Sierra Leone.

We call on the African Diaspora and all who care about the continent's future to join us.
